sometimes...

all you can do
is tie a rope so perfectly tight
that it grabs ahold of what's most important
and
until you tell it otherwise

You have tied the "perfect" knot...now the walker has to step out onto the rope on his own...just like you did before him...
deep breaths, beautiful beth...

Or....perhaps you untie the knot and let go, let go so that it's no longer a fight, that he is truly *free*....Trusting that your Love is the beacon that will always see him safely home to your open arms....

...I'm much newer to this Mother's Journey than you, but one thing I'm learning is that the harder you hold on, the harder they fight for their freedom....and once they're free...well, they may soar and dip and wheel..but they know that the nest is Home.

~holding you tightly - but with Love and Light~

Beautiful image and detail. Hang in there, my friend. You're with other friends, too.

love this photo! reminds me so much of some of the close up shots that i got of my father-in-law's sail boat.

now i think i need to get those up soon.

sometimes you can also intertwined the rope with another's so that the bond and strength is doubled and then some. that's what all of us are out here in blogland. your other ropes.
